Upper Moreland Basketballl Club will offer an AAU or all players, boys and girls exiting 3rd grade and older. You will be able to register as an individual and tryout for your age appropriate team.
Registration for players who are current UMBC in house, travel or returning AAU players registration is ONLY $150. Any non UMBC there is a non refundable $10 tryout fee which will be applied to your $150 if you continue with the team. All payments due by April 3, 2021.
Goal is 3 hours per week or 2 practices March through June. Set by your coach around teams other activities.
As a team you will decide on uniforms. From a simple pinnie style with warmup ($40) to the standard travel uniform ($120). If your player has a uniform NO NEED to purchase a new one for AAU.

Friday night hoops included in registration. We will put together as many Friday night hoop tournaments as we can for each team. No cost to UMBC AAU teams although you must RUN/Manage it. IE clock book cleaning etc. UMBC will Secure and pay Refs
The only other cost are the other local tournaments your team decides to enter. We are NOT like other AAU programs. We are not charging you up front fees for tournaments that you will not play in because of family vacations or other commitments. As a team, you will decide on the tournaments and pay as you participate in that tournament. Tournaments are weekends.
For example if a tournament in May cost $300 and all 10 players on the team are available - each players pays $30 to the coach the week of the tournament. If only 9 are available, those 9 will pay $34 each. Most team will play in 4-6 tournaments. You can expect a $30-$50 per tournament charge. So 5 tournaments will cost approx $200. Add in registration cost and a uniforms cost and UMBC is about 1/2 of what other clubs charge. If you don't need a uniform, you are saving 60% off surrounding area AAU clubs.
You will practice 1-2 times per week starting in March through end of June in the Upper Moreland Area.
Looking for coaches now. Can be single grade or combined grade such as 5/6th grade.
Local Teams - play in weekend tournaments with 60 minute drive
Regional Teams - play in weekend tournament in Tri-State area
National Teams - play in weekend tournaments around the country
If you do not see your grade listed it means we have not secured a coach for that age group. Please volunteer to coach.
